- Morro Rock Beach. Also known as Morro Bay Beach, this beach is located immediately north of Morro Rock. Due to its close proximity to the iconic Morro Rock, it’s a popular location for locals and visitors alike. Here, you can enjoy swimming, surfing, and picnicking. If you have a dog, it must be on a leash.
- Morro Strand State Beach. This beach is located further away from Morro Rock but you can still see the rock off in the distance. It’s a popular destination for beach camping with a campground located nearby. This location is a favorite for walking or jogging as well as family fun such as fishing, kite flying and bird watching. No dogs allowed at this beach.
- Coleman Park Beach. This beach is located just east of Morro Rock. Coleman Park extends along the waterfront located towards the northern end of the Embarcadero. The park is a great place for picnic as there is a picnic area complete with BBQ pits, restrooms and even a play area for children.
- Cayucos State Beach. The charming beach town of Cayucos is not only a great place to visit, but also is home to the popular state beach. The location features a fishing pier as well as a sandy beach that is great for tide pooling. Guests can also enjoy surfing, wiming, a picnic area as well as restrooms.
