If you’re visiting Morro Bay in early September you can experience the three-day Avocado and Margarita Food & Drink Festival! This festival is a unique twist on a food and wine festival and focuses on gourmet avocado dishes and exceptional margaritas against the fabulous Morro Bay scenery.
Experience the Avocado and Margarita Festival in Morro Bay
The Avocado and Margarita Festival takes place September 9th through September 11th for a full weekend of joy. The festival will be held at Tidelands Park on the grass. Tidelands Park is on the water, so you can enjoy magnificent views of Morro Bay, watch boats glide by, and enjoy the breeze.
In addition to delicious cuisine and creative margaritas, the festival will feature live music and vendors.
Family-Friendly Event
Kids are welcome at the festival, and Tidelands Park offers great activities, so your kids can blow off steam while you enjoy a margarita. Kids often refer the Tidelands Park as Pirate Park since there is a fun pirate ship in the play area. The play area continues the nautical theme with a whale’s tail, seal statues, and a crow’s nest.
In addition, you can walk down to the mud flats to view wildlife.
Festival Ticket Information
All ages are welcome to enjoy the festival. Children under 10 are free with a ticketed adult. Guests must be over 21 with a valid ID to drink alcohol. Guests can purchase a three-day festival pass or buy a single ticket for Saturday or Sunday. Guests can also upgrade to VIP tickets and get access to the VIP Lounge.
The festival begins on Friday, September 9th. Guests can taste excellent cuisine and margaritas from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM and enjoy Movie Night from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
On Saturday, September 10th, guests can enjoy breakfast from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and the festival runs from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. On Sunday, September 11th, the festival runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Central Coast’s Exceptional Cuisine
The festival will host the Central Coast’s best chefs who focus on locally grown fresh ingredients. California is known for its avocado and grape supply, and the festival celebrates all the creative dishes you can make with avocados. While there will be plenty of guacamole to taste, local chefs will introduce you to other ways to enjoy the delicious avocado.
Experience Vibrant Morro Bay
The Avocado Margarita Food & Drink Festival is Morro Bay’s favorite event. iHeart Radio rated it “California’s Best Food Festival.” With so much fresh cuisine, unique hand-crafted cocktails, and live music, we know you’ll have a blast at this three-day festival.
In addition to fabulous events and festivals, Morro Bay has lots of great markets, stores, and restaurants. While you’re in the area, be sure to experience Morro Bay Butcher & Deli, which is one of Morro Bay’s newest traditions.
